Joel is a computational glaciologist motivated by open questions in Quaternary paleoclimate and subglacial erosion. His work integrates numerical modeling, large-scale remote sensing & data analytics, and cosmogenic surface exposure dating to investigate how ice sheets and glaciers shape the Earth’s surface and respond to climate forcing in the past, present, and future.
